Waterfox: Fast and Private Web Browser

I really enjoy seeing new projects, especially now with Mozilla's updated TOS, but this project's page really bothers me! Why include a feature comparison table with browsers like Chrome and Edge, but leave out Firefox? Your project is built on Firefox, and you even borrowed half of its name. Attribution matters. If Mozilla were to shut down Firefox and all its users left, would Waterfox even survive?

Several things make me skeptical about this browser. 1) Homepage is a bit uncared for. The Copyright shows "2020" at the bottom, the top screenshot looks doctored rather than being a real screenshot. 2) It's owned by an ad marketing platform, System1, as noted in the FAQ. On the plus side, the Github repository is active.

Alternatives that allow you to still get your security and stability updates from Mozilla include two Gnu soft-forks. There's IceCat, which is the best-supported version and runs off of ESR. [1] There's also "abrowser" (that's literally what it's called) that is part of the Gnu Trisquel distribution, which is based on the most recent release.
