Show HN: Halloy – Modern IRC client

I'd love to test this, however it seems to not be accessible with screen readers. I assume this is because of the GUI library not supporting accessibility. I haven't heard of IRC before, but just looked it up on Wikipedia. Can it be used to exchange messages with phones?

I'm not sure if I miss IRC, or the simpler times that were when I was actively on IRC. Maybe it's a bit of both. But there's definitely some niceties in modern messaging applications that you can't get in IRC.
