I'm stuck in this cycle with langs like this. I want to use Nim I want to use Crystal they to me represent real tangible improvements over the languages they were based on but run into the issue of ecosystem and adoption every-time. I know it's chicken or the egg but I have real problems choosing these languages when they just aren't as battle hardened or package wise versatile as say python or ruby when making decisions for my own…

Nim is a really good language with the ease of use of Python and the speed of C, Rust, Go with the benefit of creating single executable binary that makes it easy to deploy. But, I only use it for toy apps and things I don't particularly care about because it is still not 1.0 indicating the language core is not settled yet. May be others are more comfortable with it than I am.
