I wrote Task Manager and I just remembered something

More stuff like this needs to be recorded. It saddens me to think how much of this kind of stuff is already lost from earlier times in computing. A lot of interesting stuff like this is captured from the history of the Mac[1] and from Atari[2], but the "folklore" from so many other companies and products is being lost. The author claims in 1994, Saudi Arabia didn't handle 7-segment displays. This sounds fishy to me, were there really places as recently as the 1990's where a significant numerate population didn't use the same number symbols as we do? And...isn't the common system of digits 0123456789 called Arabic numerals because it was invented in the present-day country of Saudi Arabia or somewhere nearby? Why would they of all countries use a different system?
