My choice is the VCS client in JetBrains IDEs, like IntelliJ, WebStorm, PyCharm etc. IntelliJ Community Edition is even free and open-source, so for Java coding it's perfect, but pretty good for Clojure, Python, PHP too. The JetBrains IDEs are cross-platform, including Linux and cross architecture, including ARM, because the JVM/JDK is cross-arch. This seems interesting for day-to-day operations, as a replacement for Tower or SourceTree! However an app I've found really helps with arcane Git incantations (anything that rewrites history) is GitUp for macOS. I've always found it underappreciated. http://gitup.co
Dan and Tanya Pristupova are doing a great job developing the macOS and Windows version of this software [1]. I use it intermittently along with other applications that offer a graphical interface to interact with a Git repository and Fork is one of my favorites.
