As a non-technical person from a completely different industry, my take on TOS is this: I don't care. Why would anyone care? Is it a legal binding contract between me and the comany? I actually don't really support these movements. I would prefer that we entirely deligitimize the notion of 'terms of service' having any measure of enforceability or weight. No, I have not read your terms and I do not agree with them. I do, however, reject the legitimacy of their use and will happily check a box that lets me proceed unmolested. I don't know how they presume to interpret all of these, but I've already found a glaring error: of Wikipedia, they claim "The service can delete your account without prior notice and without a reason" but this is false: Wikipedia never deletes accounts, due to the way MediaWiki software works and also due to the attribution requirements of the Creative Commons license. What their TOS does say is that they can "suspend or end the services at any time", but…
