That's crazy dangerous - if that endpoint gets compromised, nothing keeps the attacker from running `rm -rf /` on every user's machine. Standard Notes is a phenomenal note taking app and one of the first to bring encryption in note taking. They take security very seriously and have multiple third party audits. I’ve been a fan of this product for quite a while, I self host a “standard file” server and make use of standard notes writing into it to keep my personal journal. Getting everything up and running isn’t difficult at all.

I like the concept but question the business model. It is something with universal appeal but I fear the revenue from "extended" won't be sufficient to sustain it over time. The value add just doesn't justify the subscription price --- considering that I can achieve similar functionality on my own using Aescrypt and readily available "free" web storage.
