HN comment orderWould you be so kind as to add (2014) to the end of the title? Since the post starts off by saying JSON-LD was made official "last week", it could mislead readers who don't notice the date in a small font between the title and the body.
Due to shitty academic job market, I was forced to take a job part of which could be described as "semantic web evangelist". If you read some incredibly optimistic article about the semantic web and how it solves all life's problems, there's a non-negligible chance that I wrote it. JSON-LD is just fantastic at bringing all the data in RDF to power real world JS/websites. Angular.js and JSON-LD plus SPARQL results in JSON is just so much fun to play with.
