Ah yes. Nvidia. The green death. At this point my systems are going to be pure AMD until status quo changes. I begrudgingly used Nvidia while they were the better of 2 proprietary blob options but now that AMD GPUs work out of the box with no hassle (for the ones I have tried at-least) and are competitive on performance for what I do (consumer workloads/gaming) then there is no contest. >are we wayland yet? No, No I am not, because things I care about are broken, and all of the supposed improvements wayland offers simply don't bother me. I've tried it, yes it feels a little snappier sometimes, but that's not a huge priority for me, personally. X11 is fine.

Things that are broken for me in Wayland now: - Remote access - Screen capture - Font rendering is horrible - UrbanTerror (only game I play) has issues - X apps are blurry (DPI fixes don't work) It seems like Wayland is going to be one of the apps that are claimed to be the new thing but will forever be a WIP.

"Mostly" is correct, but some of the problems with Wayland are fundamental and will never be fixed. From "Major Linux Problems on the Desktop, 2020 edition"[0]: - Applications (or GUI toolkits) must implement their own font antialiasing - there's no API for setting system-wide font rendering.
