The trickle down was never meant to trickle and if it had, the people who advocated it would not have advocated it. Its purpose, like that of the "business cycle", is to concentrate ownership.
Wealth never trickles down. If we’re insisting on liquid-based metaphors, we can say it “evaporates” or is “siphoned”. But it only goes in one direction, and it isn’t down.
The trickle down was never meant to trickle; and, if it could do so, the people who have advocated it would not advocate it.
