HN comment orderI’d love to decode some radio signals - just to go through the “motions” and try my hand at it. Is something like an AM radio signal decoding relatively easy to understand? What about FM? And NTSC? Is the python code clear-ish? Complicated? Full of math I’m not appreciating? Thanks! Ok… it’s not exactly trivial: https://pysdr.org/content/rds.html#fm-demodulation
Websdr started a 3 year journey/obsession into SDR for me. Proceed with caution. FWIW KiwiSDR has a map of accessible receivers similar to websdr. One cool thing you can do is TDoA analysis with multiple receivers to attempt to locate the origin of a signal (click extensions->TDoA in the radio GUI) http://kiwisdr.com/public/
