I sometimes wonder how people who are into the "tools for thought space" get anything done other than the meta task of optimising their note taking strategy. At a certain point I realised I was spending more time figuring out how to tag my mp3 colletion than I was listening to music. I've been observant for similar realisations in other fields ever since.

That's the reason I still prefer Bear's approach of using nested tags as the main organizational tool. If I study a maths topic today, I can tag it like for example #2022/02/12, #studies/M<module number>, #maths/<topic> and find it in the future easily, no matter what path to it I think of first.
