HN comment orderI use `taskwarrior` every day and greatly enjoy it. There's a number of other terminal TODO management solutions that I've dabbled with but `taskwarrior` is just so feature rich and can be adapted to suit your workflow quite easily. There's also `timewarrior`, which complements `taskwarrior` pretty well. I'm not affiliated with the `taskwarrior` project, but I wanted to say that if you like the project and are interested in contributing, one way you can do so is by donating to…
Self plug, I'm developing a minimal gui for Taskwarrior, focused on keyboard navigation. https://github.com/tmahmood/taskwarrior-web/ Task warrior is the my core of task management, as I've ADHD,I lost track of my task if it's not easily visible, this ui helps me with that. It shows timer for active task on the top. Future plan is to integrate time warrior too.
In another comment thread on Taskwarrior, someone more intelligent than me suggested just using plain dirs and files, one file per task. Then you get all of Unix for free, with any metadata you want as part of the filename or contents. I'm a former org-mode user who now just uses a paper book, but if I still wanted to use a computer, dirs+files would be hard to beat. One or more folders for todo, one or more folders for…
I've been using Taskwarrior for a few weeks as my primary task manager, and I have to say it's a beautiful extension of the principles of Todo.[txt/sh]. The only thing missing for me is the ability to apply modifications to filters instead of needing to use explicit task ID lists. For example: task proj:Foo due:tomorrow Instead of: task 1,2,3,7,10-12 due:tomorrow. For oh-my-zsh users, I've got an open pull request for adding a Taskwarrior autocompletion plugin: https://github.com/robbyrussell/oh-my-zsh/pull/370…
