HN comment orderddg is my default and this is the killer feature for me. I type in "houston !gmaps" and right to google maps focused on Houston. I copy paste "[error] !so" and get relevant stack overflow search, "[actor] !imdb" etc.
I much prefer that the browser fulfills this role instead of the search engine. Like in chrome you can start typing "yt" [Tab] and search youtube Or in Firefox you can setup keywords and do "yt" [space] and search.
DDG's bangs are without doubt its standout feature. Unfortunately the search results themselves are pretty poor. So I'll stick with Startpage[0] Not that it's without its own problems, but at least the results are good. [0] https://startpage.com/
