MusicBrainz: An open music encyclopedia

MusicBrainz and its software companion, Picard, are absolute blessings when it comes to micromanaging a music library in this day and age. I have a lot of music files. Everything is tagged. I have only once used MusicBrains to tag a subset of it, and it thoroughly effed everything up. Some remastered release of a 1972 album? That's 2012 now, and won't show up in your 70s playlist.
