I used to be that guy putting cute unicode checkboxes in his test runner, telling myself I was making the world a better place because my software was nifty and clever. Great rant, but I always thought it was pretty ironic because I'm not aware of a development environment that requires you to track more shit in your head than Node.js and JavaScript.
